Opportunity Overview
We are inviting expressions of interest from experienced Project Control Managers with a proven track record in mega infrastructure projects, particularly within the water sector. This role is central to the strategic planning, execution, and financial oversight of complex water treatment and desalination initiatives across Australia.
You will play a key role in ensuring project performance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment while driving innovation and sustainability across all phases of delivery.

Tender & Bid Management

  • Evaluate large-scale water project opportunities aligned with ACCIONA Agua’s strategic goals.
  • Lead cost analysis, risk assessments, and commercial strategy development.
  • Support seamless transitions from pre-contract to delivery phases.

Project Methodology & Design Oversight

  • Define and implement construction methodologies tailored to complex water infrastructure.
  • Ensure designs meet constructability, budget, and sustainability targets.
  • Lead risk identification and mitigation during planning and design.

Schedule & Cost Control

  • Develop and manage cost plans, cash flows, and contract programs.
  • Monitor progress, manage claims, and ensure robust governance systems.
  • Drive strategic decisions based on financial and environmental impact assessments.

Construction Engineering & Delivery

  • Oversee construction activities to ensure alignment with technical, budgetary, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead performance tracking, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.

Digital Engineering & Innovation

  • Champion the use of digital tools and platforms for project management and reporting.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in digital engineering across water infrastructure projects.

Required Skills and Competencies

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience in project controls for large-scale water infrastructure projects, including desalination and advanced treatment facilities.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project interfaces.
  • Proficiency in digital engineering tools and project management platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
