JOB POSTING TITLE: PROJECT CONTROL OFFICER – AUDIT TRACKING/REPORTING (MS EXCEL/POWERPOINT)

The ideal candidate would have strong audit tracking experience and would be an expert at creating reports using data given.
Project: U.S. Cyber and IT Risk Remediation
Role: The candidate will be working on internal and external audit remediation across the technology organization. The candidate will be working to track, manage, and remediate according to the committed timelines.
Details: Hybrid - downtown Toronto, onsite at least 2x/week, 4 days week in office come Sept 15
Contract Duration: 6 months / Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS/MUST HAVE SKILLS:

1) 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis roles/BA roles/Project Coordinator
2) 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel (reporting, V-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
3) Strong proficiency in PowerPoint (ability to create presentations and communicate findings)
4) 3+ years of experience with Jira/Confluence
5) 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

1) PowerBI
2) KPI experience
3) Audit experience

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Data Gathering and Analysis:
  • Engage with stakeholders/PMs to gather and summarize data points
  • Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system functionalities.
  • Translate data/reporting requirements into excel based reporting
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Utilize Excel for data analysis, modeling, and creating reports.
  • Set-up and utilize Jira for tracking, workflow and reporting
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement through data analysis.
  • Project Management and Communication:
  • Manage tasks and track progress using MS Project or Jira.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations using PowerPoint to communicate project status, analysis results, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide training to end-users.
  • System and Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure that system documentation is maintained and up-to-date.
