VIA Rail is looking for a Project Controller (PCO) to join the Program Management Office and help us successfully complete all of these projects. As Project Controller, you will have a front-line role in managing projects within the Non-Corridor Investment Plan and advising project managers.
If you have experience in system and structural overhaul on locomotives, thrive on project management and want to help modernize Canada’s rail industry, this is the job for you.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, management, engineering or another relevant field, with 3 to 7 years of experience as a project controller
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Project Online environment
  • Proficiency with advanced functions of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with document management best practices and SharePoint
  • Organization, planning and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Communications skills
  • Bilingualism (English and French)
Responsibilities

As a seasoned Project Controller with the PMO (Program Management Office), your primary role will be to oversee management of activities to monitor and control project delivery. You will also play an advisory role with project managers regarding the use of management standards and methods, templates and tools.
