Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau |Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family Reporting into the Project Controls Manager, this role will sit within the Civil business – a division of Fulton Hogan specialising in infrastructure construction, based around reinforced concrete. We are currently delivering work ranging from bridges and wharves to water treatment plants, storage tanks and pipelines throughout New Zealand. As a Project Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting projects across the South Island (and occasionally elsewhere in NZ) through robust project controls processes and tools. You will help plan, manage and mitigate schedule issues and risk events, while ensuring strong financial, cost and commercial control across our projects. Your main duties will include: Developing and maintaining project programmes and construction schedules. Cost and financial control, including forecasting, cost tracking and variance analysis. Commercial support to project teams, including change management and claims. Project reporting (time, cost, risk, performance) to internal and external stakeholders. Risk identification, analysis and management, including support on risk and delay claims. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Commercial and Operations teams on multiple concurrent projects. While you could be Christchurch‑based, there are a number of projects in Invercargill and Wellington which may require you to relocate for the duration of a project, if necessary. You may also be required to travel to other locations within NZ. We’re looking for someone with: Minimum 10 years’ sound financial, commercial and programme‑related experience in a civil construction/infrastructure environment. At least 8 years’ experience specifically in a Project Controls role (time, cost and commercial control). CCS Candy software experience is strongly preferred. Proven record of high-paced projects completed in the last 5 years. Proven experience in planning, scheduling and project reporting, including risk and delay claims. Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, ideally with reinforced concrete and infrastructure projects (bridges, wharves, water/wastewater treatment plants, tanks, pipelines etc.). Demonstrated ability to work with and influence a wide range of key stakeholders across multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical, numerical and reporting skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy. A commitment to Health and Safety and to Fulton Hogan’s values.
