Description
As a Project Control Specialist with MTSI, you will act as key support to program leadership on one or more of the National Security Division’s (NSD) programs. Primary duties will aim to ensure program execution aligns with budget, forecasting, and deliverable requirements. This role requires expertise in project control as well as knowledge of the entire program lifecycle, as the Project Control Specialist works collaboratively across cross-functional areas to ensure execution excellence and program success for all stakeholders. Prepare, track, and analyze program financial reports, ensuring accurate documentation and visibility for stakeholders. Collaborate with contracts management teams to ensure compliance with government regulations, including FAR/DFARS and other applicable guidelines. Monitor the program’s funding profile, expenditures, and status in alignment with contract and performance objectives. Provide actionable insights to program leadership regarding risks, cost variances, and opportunities for cost savings or efficiencies. Participate in program reviews, audits, and customer deliverables, ensuring accountability and alignment with program goals. Develop and deliver briefing materials on program performance metrics to senior leadership and government customers. Act as the financial and contractual point of contact for cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and transparency. Required Qualifications: 2+ years of directly related professional experience. Past work with multiple contract types (Time & Materials, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Firm Fixed Price). Experience reviewing and approving vendor invoices for accuracy and ensuring information is booked into the system accordingly. Proficiency tracking bill holds and accruals to closure across billing cycles. Experience calculating and providing accrual data. General understanding of the FAR. Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint or similar tools. Microsoft Excel skills at an intermediate to advanced level, with proficiency in functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desired Qualifications: OTA experience, including familiarity with Other Transaction Authority frameworks. Workday Adaptive Planning experience, specifically building table-format reports and dashboards. Willingness to learn or prior experience developing analytic dashboards and digging into software outputs to resolve discrepancies. 5+ years of directly related professional experience. Past work with large subcontractor teams. Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and Business Intelligence. Experience with Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders, especially in Deltek Costpoint. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Math from an accredited college or university. Clearance Requirement: Must have the ability to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance Additional Notes: Place of work is Huntsville, AL.
