Description
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together. Role description: As a Project Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and operational success of our projects. You will be responsible for overseeing financial performance, identifying risks, and driving improvements through close collaboration with project and portfolio managers. You will be part of a dynamic Finance & Control team in Belgium, consisting of 18 colleagues, including 4 dedicated to the Places business area. The role offers flexibility with hybrid working arrangements—you'll be expected in the Berchem office twice a week, with occasional travel to Ghent or Brussels for project reviews. Role accountabilities: Financial Oversight: Lead monthly project reviews, critically assessing financial progress and ensuring alignment with budgetary targets and key financial KPIs. Project Monitoring: Track project WIP (Work in Progress), ensure timely invoicing, and maintain accurate financial records within our ERP system (Oracle). Risk Management: Identify and analyze risks related to budget, quality, and timelines. Proactively flag issues and propose actionable solutions. Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to project managers, providing financial insights and contributing to strategic decision-making. ERP Optimization: Serve as a key user of Oracle, supporting the continuous improvement of project monitoring processes and systems. Reporting & Analysis: Collaborate with business controllers to support ad hoc analyses and monthly reporting, leveraging insights from project reviews to explain performance variances. Qualifications & Experience: We are seeking a proactive and collaborative professional to join our team as a Project Controller. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, and brings at least three years of experience in project or financial controlling. Solid background in project monitoring and advisory is highly valued. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. Familiarity with Oracle is a plus, though not required. Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English are critical. Why Arcadis? We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best. We believe everyone's contribution matters. It's why we are pioneering a skills-based approach, where you can harness your unique experience and expertise to carve your career path and maximize the impact we can make together. You'll do meaningful work, and no matter what role, you'll be helping to deliver sustainable solutions for a more prosperous planet. Make your mark, on your career, your colleagues, your clients, your life and the world around you. Together, we can create a lasting legacy. Join Arcadis. Create a Legacy. Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging We want you to be able to bring your best self to work every day, which is why we take equality and inclusion seriously and hold ourselves to account for our actions. Our ambition is to be an employer of choice and provide a great place to work for all our people. LI-CB3 LI-Hybrid
