Let’s lead the way, do what’s right and make real progress!   About the Role We have a great opportunity for a Project Controller to join us!   As the Project Controller, you will ensure essential support services for Works Management (Distribution) to deliver major infrastructure and customer projects that meet AusNet’s project management standards.  You will work very closely with Project Managers to establish a strong monitoring framework, in particular for cost, quality, risk and schedule.   With a hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is substantively based in Malvern and is part of the Works Management team within our Distribution line of business.   What you will deliver Advise on financial planning and budgeting and assist in the development of financial plans and forecasts Monitor and manage project expenditure, ensuring that all financial targets are met and examining any areas where budgets and expenditure exceed agreed tolerances Undertake analysis of costs and provide early warning of variances and issues Ensure expenditure approval processes are adhered to and that spend is within approved budgets Play an active role in control and governance of all financial and operational elements of the portfolio Assist with monthly financial and project reporting requirements Ensure project structure and timely capture of financial information meets all stakeholder requirements Evaluate project and/or program performance and recommend changes where necessary Develop reviews and maintain risk and issues registers and Project Management Plans for all Customer Projects Actively contribute to the resolution of key strategic and operational issues by providing accurate and timely financial advice and guidance to key stakeholders and other senior project leaders    What we like about you Strong demonstrated experience in a project delivery environment Demonstrated experience working within a regulated assets environment Sound understanding of project financial functions and cost analysis Knowledge of project management practices Strong knowledge of project governance Strong collaborative and teamwork skills to achieve common objectives Proven written and verbal communication skills to manage effective collaboration with all stakeholders Strong reporting and computer skills to facilitate project management support services Knowledge of procurement and contract management processes and principles Understanding of project schedules will be an advantage   A real place to belong.
