Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Controller to join our growing Financial Controls team on a full-time permanent capacity based at our CBD head office.
Reporting to the Team Lead Financial Controls, this position will be responsible for implementing and maintaining efficient and effective financial controls on Beon’s infrastructure projects. This includes forecasting and reporting with the goal to ensure that project governance and informed decision making by the project team and other internal stakeholders.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL DELIVER:

  • Development and maintenance of the project budget and cost management system, including reporting and evaluating performance of projects against overall timeframe and cost goals
  • Monitor and manage financial risks and any allocated financial contingencies for programs and projects from an overall portfolio perspective
  • Analyse and provide monthly feedback on schedule integrity and logical consistencies from a financial perspective
  • Maintain project data integrity in SAP, ensuring that Network activity dates, hours and forecasts are aligned with the project schedule
  • Obtain and communicate key financial, procurement activities and milestones into the project schedule to allow assessment of overall project procurement and financial progress
  • Facilitate monthly review meetings with key project stakeholders to review time, cost, risks, opportunities, any escalations, and procurement activities.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Qualification (Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Commerce, Business)
  • Detailed knowledge of the concepts and principles of project management (PMBOK), particularly around cost management
  • Experience with SAP and other project management, estimating or management tools are desirable
  • Proven well developed stakeholder, relationship management and supplier management experience
  • Proven experience managing demand and delivery expectations effectively, with a range of multidisciplinary stakeholders and colleagues, for agreed delivery and impact
  • Demonstrated commitment and evidence of being a credible role model, consistently delivering, working, and supporting others aligned with organisational values.
