Job Summary and Responsibilities Acentra Health is looking for a Project Control Analyst Director to join our growing team. Job Summary: The role serves as a strategic business partner to the Business Line SVP, leading financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This position oversees and mentors a team of Program Finance staff, ensuring comprehensive financial coverage across all programs within the business line. The individual will also manage financial performance for select contracts, performing detailed program finance functions—from budget development and cost monitoring to financial reporting and change control documentation Responsibilities: Business Partner to Business Line SVP Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and reporting for Business Line Manages and Mentors Program Finance staff assigned to programs within Business Line Develops assignments for Program Finance team to ensure full coverage of programs within Business Line Will need to perform Program Finance role on a certain number of contracts within the Business Line. These include: Develops project baseline budgets, analyzes project risks, and provides analytical support to Project Managers. Monitors project progress to compare actual versus baseline resource usage and analyze project cost variances. Support Project Managers in performing specialized analyses of corrective action plans to determine the most effective means of addressing potential problems. Prepares documentation in accordance with corporate guidelines for project financial review and approval. Prepares documentation in support of the change control process and internal governance meetings throughout the project life cycle. Performs cost analysis, cost estimating, cost management, cost control, and cost forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Provides update at operations meetings on project financials, schedule status, issues, and concerns; keeps project managers informed of emerging issues as they arise. Identifies and assists with change management process on projects. Monitors close out documentation requirements and reviews final cost report and final schedule for close out and benchmarking purposes. Provides reports on pipeline, backlog, project status, and staff planning. Prepares cash flow forecasting and analysis. Assist management with special projects as needed. Qualifications Required Qualifications A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (accounting or finance highly preferred) 6+ years of experience in financial modelling and/or project controls Must have Federal Government Contracting experience Previous managerial experience Background in application software or good understanding of the system development lifecycle and environment is a plus Complete understanding of accrual processes, invoice review and validation are required Experience developing and presenting budget and status reporting as well as the ability to present information to senior management Must be proficient with Excel Knowledge of revenue recognition methodologies Strong understanding of accounting principles Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Deltek Costpoint Oracle EPM Government contracting Why us?
