Description Location: Hope Mills, NC or Remotely Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Controls Professional to support solar construction projects with a focus on mechanical and electrical scopes. This mid-level role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in project controls and a passion for renewable energy. You will play a key role in ensuring project performance through effective cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and update project budgets and forecasts using tools such as MS, Excel and Foundation (Company owned ERP system). Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies. Track and analyze project costs, budgets, and forecasts, support monthly cost reporting and variance analysis. Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables. Support change management processes, including tracking change orders and assessing cost and budget impacts. Assist in the preparation of client-facing reports and presentations. Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures, and contractual requirements. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field. 3–7 years of experience in project controls, preferably in solar or renewable energy construction. Proficiency in scheduling and cost control software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, Power BI, etc.). Familiarity with mechanical and electrical scopes of work in solar projects (e.g., racking, modules, inverters, cabling). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with utility-scale solar projects.
