Job Description Role & Responsibilities Change & Governance Support the central change team in preparing information for monthly project reviews Collate and analyse change data across programmes and functional areas Maintain and update the Project Change Register Own and update the PCR template and Change Project Controls Calendar Coordinate Project ROTC meetings and stakeholder engagement Contribute to development of procedures and working instructions related to change management Lead and contribute to Change Process KPIs and performance reporting Support programmes where no dedicated Change Coordinator is assigned Cost & Performance Management Produce and update the Project Management Baseline (PMB) in EcoSys Ensure accurate data uploads (Draft & Hardlock stages) Maintain accurate forecasts aligned to CBS/WBS structures Generate reports in line with reporting cycles, including performance commentary Support Trend & Change analysis at project level Provide analytical insight to support Project Controls Managers and Senior PCEs Systems & Data Management Maintain accurate Project Controls data in systems including EcoSys, Primavera P6, ARM Support development of Power BI reporting dashboards Ensure secure handling and protection of Sensitive Nuclear Information Continuous Improvement & Collaboration Drive improvements in the Change and Project Controls processes Support training and capability uplift within the team Promote strong governance, risk awareness, and compliance culture Work collaboratively across all project functions to support delivery 🌍 Operating Environment This role is integral to the successful delivery of a major Nuclear Power Station project, supporting Engineering, Procurement & Manufacturing, Construction, and Commissioning phases. The Project Controls function underpins three critical success factors: Integrated baseline delivery EPC critical path execution Achievement of key milestones through to Commercial Operation Date (COD) The programme operates within: A highly regulated nuclear environment overseen by the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) A strong Nuclear Safety Culture A delivery philosophy prioritising Safety, Quality, Time, and Cost — in that order 🧠 Thinking Environment The role operates within a structured governance framework. The jobholder will be familiar with: Company Manual Project Execution & Business Plan Project Delivery Model Integrated Project Controls Manual Discipline-specific procedures and working instructions 🤝 Key Interfaces Head of Integrated Project Controls Project Controls Managers, Senior PCEs, and Trainee PCEs Project & Programme Risk Reviews Project Management community Integrated Project Controls disciplines (Cost, Estimating, Planning, Risk, Performance Measurement & Analysis) Central support functions (Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, HR) ⚖ Challenges & Problem Solving Ensuring alignment and consistency of data across multiple project interfaces Maintaining integrity of performance insights through assurance checks Collaboratively resolving issues and implementing corrective actions Escalating risks appropriately through governance routes 🧭 Decision-Making The Project Controls Engineer is accountable for the accuracy and integrity of project controls data within their scope.
