PROJECT CONTROLS LEAD

Location: Nisku, Alberta

YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS (MUST-HAVE)

  • Minimum 7 years of project controls experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
  • Strong background in cost control, scheduling, and progress measurement within construction or infrastructure projects
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, business administration, project management, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Primavera P6, Tilos, InEight, or Viewpoint is a strong asset
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and lead a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Edmonton/Nisku area
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, following all policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Lead the development and implementation of project controls processes across cost, schedule, progress measurement, and forecasting
  • Supervise and mentor project controls team members, ensuring high-quality output and professional development
  • Prepare, monitor, and update baseline schedules in collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders
  • Support cost control by reviewing budgets, commitments, actuals, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures
  • Produce regular project performance reports including earned value analysis, progress tracking, and variance explanations
  • Provide timely and accurate information to project leadership, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions
  • Collaborate closely with project management, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment of project data and reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in project controls tools and practices
