About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Balfour Beatty’s team that has been selected as a construction partner for the Rolls Royce expansion work in Raynesway, Derby, needed to meet the growth in demand from the MOD and as a result of the AUKUS agreement. As part of this programme of works, which will be executed in stages over the next eight years, Balfour Beatty will deliver infrastructure enabling works, build new manufacturing and office facilities, and redevelop existing industrial buildings on the site.
Balfour Beatty has a unique opportunity for a Project Controls Manager to join our Planning Team working on a landmark secure infrastructure and building programme in Raynesway, Derby. This role supports a long-term, high-profile project in collaboration with Rolls-Royce, supporting MOD growth and the international AUKUS agreement.
We’re delivering major infrastructure works, including new manufacturing facilities, offices, and redevelopment of existing industrial assets — a programme set to span the next eight years. This is your chance to be part of something truly transformational.
What you’ll be doing

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Lead the project controls function on a large, secure and complex infrastructure project.
  • Support the Project Director and report to the Planning Lead.
  • Develop and maintain robust and innovative project controls systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Client’s controls team and integrate data and reporting systems.
  • Work in a Primavera P6 environment, delivering baseline management, earned value reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Produce forecasts, productivity reports, and analysis at multiple levels of detail.
  • Mentor and support members of the planning team at various stages of their careers.
