POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Controls Manager will lead and manage a Project Controls team in the effective and timely delivery of all aspects of Project Controls for multiple blue-chip client projects from concept through to handover. He/she will be responsible for executing, supervising and coordinating the generation of Key Project Controls deliverables in conjunction with multi-disciplinary project teams. The successful candidate will be an accomplished leader who brings experience, integrity, agility and innovation to the role in leading an ambitious, professional Project Controls team in a dynamic, fast growing, Lean Operation

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Candidates should have a third-level qualification in the relevant discipline and typically 10+ years’ procurement/cost controls experience.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary design office or equivalent client engineering team.
  • Leading and motivating a team.
  • Knowledge of auditing, budgeting, estimating, and forecasting.
  • Previous exposure to lean working practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, multitasking and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Self-starter capable of working on own with minimal supervision and capable of supervising direct reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a Project Controls team in the effective and timely delivery of all aspects of Costs, Cost
  • reporting, Schedule, Planning and Contracts
  • Accountable for effectively managing all areas of the Project Controls team
  • Management of Project Control Hours, KPI Delivery, Performance management, Annual Leave, CPD, Continuous Improvement etc.
  • Ensure that appropriate Project Controls strategies are prepared, reviewed and approved for all Projects.
  • Responsible for the execution of Project Controls deliverables within an agreed schedule agreed hours and to
  • an acceptable quality.
  • Establish rules and methodologies that are aligned with the client requirements for Project Cost reporting and
  • forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with existing approved Project Controls procedures and oversee the development of all Project Controls procedural updates.
  • Ensure that accurate Project estimates and Forecasts are prepared and presented to all associated stakeholders on time.
  • Establish appropriate and accurate contract schedules, budgets and forecasts for all projects.
  • Ensure accurate Monthly cost reports are generated, reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
  • Provide all necessary information requested to manage and forecast project outcomes in relation to Costs,
  • Schedule and Contracts including Change Management.
  • Implement appropriate Lean execution methods including Last Planner, Target Value Design, etc.
  • Manage and articulate communications with all key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of projects both internally and externally
  • Identify and lead strategic cost control efforts within a project.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching and SME support to the Project Controls team.
  • Align with and drive the Continuous Improvement Culture in Arcadis
  • Lead Cost Control efficiency and Lean initiatives both within the department and on client projects.
