The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to play a pivotal role on a major utilities’ infrastructure project in Western Australia. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely on time and within budget through best-practice planning, cost control and commercial governance. Reporting to the Construction Director, you will lead the project controls function and provide technical expertise across planning, scheduling, cost control, contract administration, progress measurement and document control. You will manage a small team and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure commercial viability and contractual compliance. Key Responsibilities: Lead all project controls activities including planning, scheduling, cost control and progress monitoring Maintain the Critical Path Network and proactively manage schedule risk Implement and manage progress measurement and reporting systems Analyse cost and schedule performance, forecast outcomes and recommend corrective actions Coordinate document control systems to ensure availability of approved drawings and documents Prepare accurate progress and performance reports for the project team and client Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, financial and quality requirements Requirements to be successful: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Project Controls role within the construction or project delivery industry Strong expertise in planning, cost control and progress measurement on large, complex projects Significant experience working on P6 and MS Project FSM / FPM experience (desirable, not essential) Proven leadership experience managing project controls teams High level of commercial acumen and contract awareness Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Commitment to safety, quality and compliance Why UGL Competitive remuneration package.
