JOIN OUR TEAM AS A SPROJECT CONTROLS PLANNER/SCHEDULER – TDS PROJECTS – CAMBRIDGE, ON

We are currently seeking a Project Controls Planner/Scheduler – TDS Projects to support our nuclear projects from our Cambridge, Ontario office. In this critical role you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the execution of complex nuclear maintenance projects involving Target Delivery Systems.
Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls & Analysis, you’ll work collaboratively with Project Management, Project Controls, Accounting, Field Services Operations to ensure successful maintenance delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 7–10 years of project coordination experience in large-scale nuclear or energy sector projects.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Strong grasp of Nuclear Work Management processes.
  • Proven ability to deliver results under pressure with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency in Primavera, AS9, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated success in managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining control of budget and schedule.
  • Must be eligible for and able to obtain CSIS security clearance.
  • Prior clearance for Bruce Power or OPG sites is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Project Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (using Visio and Primavera), establish baselines, and track key productivity metrics.
  • Execution Readiness & Coordination: Ensure all approvals and documentation (e.g., lift plans, permits, trade reviews) are in place and align with master planning efforts.
  • Work Management Support: Assist with OPG Station systems by refining planning logic, capturing scope requirements, and tracking important milestones during outages and online readiness meetings.
  • Subcontractor Oversight & Cost Tracking: Review weekly scheduling products and validate subcontractor progress through timesheets, attendance, and cost reports to ensure alignment with budgets.
  • Reporting & Communication: Attend meetings to update and communicate schedule status, produce earned value reports, and provide timely feedback on schedule deviations.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Prepare baseline budgets and generate schedule-driven cost reports to support overall project cost control.
