Description

As a Project Controls Scheduler, you will provide analytical schedule support for Senior Project
Controls Schedulers, Project Managers, Managers of Projects, and Directors. Your role will
ensure adherence to standard milestone reporting, policies, programs, processes, and
scheduling protocols. You will be responsible for developing status and analyzing detailed
critical path schedules, workload, and resource forecasts using various computer applications
such as Primavera P6, Project View, Microsoft Excel, Access, Power Point, and MS Project.
Primary Functions / Duties:
 Ensure adherence to standard milestone reporting, policies, programs, processes, and
scheduling protocols.
 Develop status and analyze detailed critical path schedules, workload, and resource
forecasts using various computer applications.
 Support the project closeout process and contribute to the development of reports to
identify closeout issues.
 Identify project/program milestones and schedule issues early and contribute to
resolutions for successful project execution.
 Ensure that project schedules are properly baselined at each phase approval.
 Build reports, earned value metrics, and schedules to assist in Centrally Managed work
execution.
 Revise schedules to recover from missed milestones, project changes, and emergent
events.
 Create Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and portfolio views of all projects.
 Provide resource loading and utilization for integrated resource reports.
 Develop reports and perform historical trending research.
 Update schedule status weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on the project/program.
 Assist with the development and updates of standard schedule templates for typical
projects and programs.
 Participate in project team meetings including financial forecasting sessions to ensure
schedule and cost alignment.
 Interface with other departments and represent Project Management/Controls regarding
schedule process and procedural issues.
 Ensure that all projects are statused, placed in service, and closed out in appropriate
timeframes in all operational systems.
 Perform workload and union impact analysis and forecast needs for internal and external
resources.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
 Minimum of 5 years experience managing transportation infrastructure projects of similar size and complexity
 Experience using Primavera P6, Schedule Analyzer, Delteck Acumen or similar is desirable
 Strong analytical skills and evaluation techniques.
 Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
 Ability to schedule and facilitate project meetings with all stakeholders in office or field environment.
 Ability to work flexible hours and in field construction sites.
 Ability to handle conflict
 Government agency experience is highly desirable.
 Demonstrate organizational, technical, and team-building expertise necessary for managing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Education/Training:
 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is desirable.
 Relevant Certification PMP, PE, PSP-AACE, OSHA etc. is desirable
