We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join this dynamic team. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive at the intersection of cost control expertise and system configuration, and who are passionate about driving efficiency and accuracy in large-scale capital projects. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in configuring and maintaining the EcoSys cost management system, ensuring seamless integration with project controls processes and financial reporting. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, enhance data integrity, and support strategic decision-making across major capital projects. This position requires a strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to upholding standards in all aspects of your work.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or Information Systems
  • 5+ years of experience in project controls with a focus on cost management
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring EcoSys EPC or Cost Management modules
  • Experience with large capital projects and portfolio environments
  • Proficiency in integrating EcoSys with tools like Oracle, SAP, and Primavera P6
  • Strong data analysis skills (SQL, visualization tools)
  • Familiarity with EcoSys automation features (Action Batches, Custom Forms, Workflows)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities
  • Lead project cost control activities: budgeting, forecasting, commitment tracking, change management, and reporting
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across all project control systems
  • Configure EcoSys modules including cost worksheets, dashboards, portfolios, and workflows
  • Maintain cost structures: codes, control accounts, UDFs, and hierarchical data
  • Integrate EcoSys with ERP, scheduling, and document management systems
  • Conduct system audits and support upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Standardize cost control processes and documentation
  • Develop SOPs, governance materials, and training resources
  • Support change management and user adoption initiatives
  • Act as liaison between project controls, IT, finance, and delivery teams
  • Provide onboarding and training for EcoSys users
  • Translate business needs into system enhancements and configuration updates
  • Configure and maintain EcoSys modules, dashboards, and workflows
  • Manage project cost controls: budgeting, forecasting, change control, and reporting
  • Integrate EcoSys with ERP and scheduling systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, P6)
  • Support system audits, upgrades, and user training
