Job Description
Due to a promotion, we’re looking for a project coordinator to join the M80 project, you’ll be responsible for all coordination and organisation of the Project Office and support the Alliance Director in his administrative duties. This position ensures that the day to day operations are well organised and efficient in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

Key accountabilities for the position

• Office Management: Oversees reception support, office cleanliness, maintenance, security, supplies, and general administration to ensure smooth project office operations.
• Stakeholder Support: Provides high-level customer service to internal and external stakeholders, and supports the Project Director with PA duties as required.
• Project Involvement: Assists with planning and implementation of multidisciplinary projects, including across the M80RR.
• People Leadership: Leads a cohesive office team, sets SMART goals, supports performance and development cycles, and fosters a positive, inclusive culture.
• Collaboration & Culture: Promotes Alliance values, cross-functional collaboration, and employee engagement, achieving high survey participation and low turnover.
• Safety Commitment: Adheres to and promotes Alliance safety processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Continuous Improvement: Drives initiatives in diversity, inclusion, strategic planning, and process enhancements to improve project outcomes and workplace culture.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Experience in office management, with any prior coordination experience being highly valued
• Advanced skill with MS Office suite of applications in particular Word and Excel
• Well developed verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Good at multi-tasking and demonstrates sound judgments, including balancing competing issues
