About you

You will hold a tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, construction management or similar; and have:

  • Australian citizenship and holding or successfully obtaining and retaining a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
  • 10+ years project management experience
  • Demonstrated recent project experience involving buildings and construction for Defence clients
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including experience working within and managing teams.
  • A strong understanding and proven experience in managing contracts, contract administration and design management.
  • Very strong stakeholder management, communications and leadership skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook with Microsoft Project desirable.
  • AIPM Certified Practising Project Manager certification or equivalent would be viewed favourably
  • The ability to work within a large team structure and providing leadership to more junior staff.
  • Desire to work on major complex projects.
  • Flexible to travel when required to site based meetings and activities for our clients on Garden Island.

  • Developing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a key support role within our project team, working closely with our Project Manager to keep projects running smoothly from planning through to completion.

This is a hands-on project coordination role that combines project administration, commercial coordination and technical project support.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day coordination and documentation required to keep projects progressing. You'll have interaction with clients, subcontractors and site teams and will be responsible for preparing project documentation and commercial information for review and approval by the Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate the day-to-day administration and delivery requirements of projects
  • Prepare variations, progress claims, project correspondence and commercial documentation
  • Assist with subcontractor scopes, packages, procurement and coordination
  • Track project progress, costs, budgets and key deliverables

  • Coordinate RFIs, technical documentation and information between site and engineering teams
