Description

PROJECT COORDINATOR

Company Overview: Baryon Group (https://baryon.group) is an investment group based in Vancouver, Canada, that acquires small businesses globally and scales them with expert strategies. In July 2024, we acquired a security system installation company based in Richmond, BC, which has served the Mandarin-speaking community for over 20 years. We are now expanding and modernizing our operations to serve a broader clientele, including English-speaking customers. To support this growth, we are looking for a Project Coordinator to oversee project execution, inventory management, and customer coordination.
Position Overview: The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth operations between the marketing & office manager, technical team, and customers. This role involves preparing inventory, updating records, and supporting project execution, including liaising with customers, technicians, and vendors. The position will start as a part-time contractor role, with the potential for a full-time contract after a 3-month probation period.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Language Proficiency: Professional in both Mandarin and English.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience managing projects, coordinating tasks with people, and keeping things on schedule.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Excel and Google Suite, and experience in writing proposals for large bids.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Transportation: Must have a car and a valid driver’s license.
Compensation Structure: The compensation for this role will be structured with 80% as base salary and 20% as a performance-based bonus. The bonus will be determined based on key performance indicators (KPIs) within the Project Coordinator’s control, such as successful project execution, efficient inventory and financial tracking, and contribution to business development efforts. Specific bonus criteria will be defined upon hiring, ensuring transparency and alignment with company goals.
