Purpose of the Role Reporting to the Minor Contract Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating minor residential construction projects from initiation through to completion. Working closely with occupational therapists, construction contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with residential construction knowledge who enjoys building strong relationships, solving problems, and making a positive impact within the community. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate residential modification projects from quotation through to completion. * Liaise with occupational therapists, contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. * Review construction quotations, plans, and methodologies for accuracy and compliance. * Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, quality standards, and KPIs are achieved. * Maintain accurate project documentation and administrative records. * Support the Project Manager through proactive communication and project coordination. * Build strong working relationships while delivering exceptional customer service. * Ensure compliance with BGIS policies, New Zealand Building Code requirements, and health and safety standards. Education, Experience & Skills Essential * Experience within the residential construction industry. * Understanding of construction quotations, methodologies, and building plans. * Knowledge of NZ residential building practices, including NZS 3604. * Strong organisational and time management skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Customer-focused with the ability to build positive relationships. * Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel). * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Desirable * Previous experience coordinating construction or building modification projects. * Knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code. * Experience working with contractors and multiple stakeholders. * Experience within healthcare, disability services, or facilities management. * Financial awareness and understanding of project costing.
