PROJECT COORDINATOR - TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION

C & M McNally Engineering Corp. is a general contractor located in Burlington, specializing in the construction of tunnels in urban environments. POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Project Engineer will be a vital Project Team member and will report to the Project Manager. They will support on site construction operations, primarily involving tunnel construction. This technical position will show strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced work environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Certificate/Degree in civil engineering, mining engineering, construction engineering and/or related fields
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in heavy construction preferably tunneling
  • Class G Driver’s License

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enthusiastic leader and team player
  • Clear and concise communicator with proven written and oral skills
  • Attention to detail with efficient time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Proven experience with AutoCad and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Primavera P6
Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate contract requirements from project specifications and design drawings
  • Obtain necessary regulatory permits, locates and approvals
  • Develop project schedules and work plans for review with the Project Team
  • Track and maintain project submittals, RFI’s and other related correspondence
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and site Superintendents to develop and execute work in an efficient, productive and safe manner on or ahead of projected schedules
  • Material quotations, purchasing and estimates
  • Assist developing and collecting site documentation for progress and safety records
