Our Junior Project Coordinator plays an integral role in our team by being the front-line employee who represent CTS through planning. Working out of our Scarborough headquarters, our team must be professional in attitude and appearance while demonstrating a positive impression of CTS.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Project Management Education plus some related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
  • Knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and various design systems.
  • Strong computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Ability to thoroughly understand drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents, materials, means and methods.
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, project scheduling, and the Internet to track and report on projects.
  • Can demonstrate skills in systems analysis and design.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or SketchUp or CorelDRAW is an Asset

Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the contract documents
  • Overall responsibility for communication of information among all project team members.
  • Establish and maintain procedures with the design professionals, consultants, owner, and subcontractors for information flow, approvals, meetings, reporting, applications for payment, etc.
  • Participate in preparation of various studies, recommendations for materials and methods, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare a detailed contract items list including all significant items required for the construction of the project.
  • Develop trade scope of work documents for bid packages, major material and equipment purchases.
  • Responsible for managing financial status of the project including preparation of project status and accuracy of financial reports.
  • Schedule, conduct, and document all job meetings, owner-architect, and coordination meetings.
  • Manage project close-out, including securing warranties, guarantees, and acceptance of work, subcontract and vendor close, final payment, and records retention.
  • Perform all other related tasks that will help accomplish the project
  • Provide ongoing reviews and reports to management
  • Coordinate with team members on schedules for work, billing, and issue resolution, update accordingly as work progresses
  • Manage and verify quality of work performed by internal and/or subcontracted resources.
  • Recommend changes to project plans based on data accessed through project tracking
  • Track and monitor action items, issues, and risks
  • Assist in the daily management of project plans
  • Monitor and control project processes and project deliverables
  • Assist in monitoring project costs, forecasts and updating the project plans
