Job Description

Are you looking to grow your career in construction project management? As a Project Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects from start to finish. Working closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent, you’ll help keep projects organized, on track, and moving forward.

  • Support project delivery by organizing, administering, and controlling activities under the direction of the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate project documentation, including meeting minutes, change orders, site instructions, owner’s instructions, shop drawings, drawing logs, progress claims, field notices, and sustainability requirements (LEED, waste management, erosion and sediment control, and materials testing).
  • Set up and maintain reporting systems, such as cost reports, project status reports, and document/drawing control processes.
  • Maintain accurate project logs (RFIs, vendor/subcontractor, purchase, owner logs, etc.), track responses, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Assist with site management, including trade contractor meetings, RFIs, invoices, and document control.
  • Handle project administration such as payroll, timekeeping, labour coding, equipment coding, purchase order coding, and safety reporting.
  • Review construction plans to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations (plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and structural).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical diploma in an appropriate construction-related field (CET), or equivalent construction experience.
  • Two or more years of experience as a Project Coordinator with a general contractor.
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe or Bluebeam Revu.
  • A solid understanding of all construction trades, safety and construction techniques.
  • Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation.
