Description

We’re hiring a 3-5 month contract (with opportunity for extension) Project Coordinator to support layout and quality control on Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial (ICI) projects.
This entry-level role is ideal for someone early in their construction career who’s looking to gain experience in a dynamic site-based position. You’ll work directly with project teams to ensure layout accuracy, documentation integrity, and compliance with construction standards. This position will be fully on-site with a combination of boots on the ground and document control. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field experience
  • 0–2 years of experience in construction, preferably in an ICI environment (co-op/internship experience counts)
  • Familiarity with survey equipment and reading construction drawings
  • Willingness to work full-time onsite and adapt to evolving project needs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative
  • Ability to get to and from sites in remote or undeveloped areas (no bus routes available)
    Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 3-6 months
    Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate layout and verification using total stations under the supervision of senior staff
  • Assist with implementing construction drawings and ensuring they align with current site conditions
  • Participate in site inspections and coordinate with consultants and authorities for required testing and sign-offs
  • Help track and update as-built drawings and field records
  • Identify and report quality issues or drawing conflicts, escalating to the Superintendent or Project Manager as needed
  • Support subcontractors and trades with technical information and layout clarification
  • Assist in reviewing shop drawings and ensuring relevant details are communicated onsite
