SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE:

  • 5+ years work experience in the international freight forwarding industry including air and sea, import and export
  • Cargowise experience essential
  • Familiarisation with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination and management
  • A team player attitude with a distinctive hands-on mentality and enjoys working in a culturally diverse and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural)
  • English skills, written and verbal
  • Willingness to travel on national and international business trips
  • Only Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia will be considered for this role
Responsibilities
  • Manage the execution of projects
  • Lead communication with clients and suppliers
  • Work with the Business Development Team to manage and develop sales leads
  • Shipping all kinds of cargo, incl. out-of-gauge and heavy lift cargo across the globe
  • Coordinating and negotiating with subcontractors, sourcing competitive rates from potential subcontractors
  • Budget reporting and cash flow submittal to the accounting department to ensure correct financing
  • Administration and support in daily business activities in a global business environment
  • Employ company tools such as Cargowise, CRM and Smartsheet to gain maximum advantage from them
  • Supporting management (local and regional) in reporting, etc.
