Description
Performs all standard customer service responsibilities such as order entry, expediting, credits/RMA's, proof of delivery, etc. Acts as the primary interface with the customer network of reps and distributors in North America as well as intercompany globally with Europe and Asia. Coordinates all aspects of orders between the customer and manufacturing. Works closely with Technical Service and Engineering to facilitate customer drawing approvals on Engineered to Order products. Keeps management aware of any potential problems. Reviews all orders upon receipt for compliance to the quotation and standard terms and conditions. Responsible for understanding and administering all the technical and commercial requirements of the order. Immediately advises customer and representative of any conflict and begins resolution. Attends departmental meetings with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to provide insight into priorities and prepares reports for management showing status of each project job. Elevates any potential issues to immediate supervisor. Reviews production schedules covering all phases of the order through Engineering, Credit and Manufacturing with the customer. Ensures all orders stay on schedule and/or advises supervisor of potential delays and communicates with the customer. As required, schedules customer meetings during the initial order review, during the drawing approval process as well as during the manufacturing portion of the job. Advises the Technical Sales team when customer changes have been made during the drawing approval process and assists in determining when these changes require corresponding price adjustment. Submits Installation, Operation, and Maintenance manuals for assigned projects as required to stakeholders. These range from standard pre-prepared documents to highly detailed, technical manuals. Required Bachelors degree from an accredited institution OR Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship Must reside within 50 miles of either location, no relo offered Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, specification requirements, procedure manuals, government and international shipping and trade regulations, letters of credit and other correspondence. Ability to speak effectively on the phone and before groups of customers and employees of the organization.
