The Project Coordinator is responsible for making sure the day-to-day activity and tasks are taken care of, so the Project Manager can focus on high-level strategic issues and work to solve any problems that arise as the project progresses. What becomes critical in this role is the ability to coordinate a more diverse project portfolio. This position is a hybrid role based out of the the manufacturing facilities in Cypress reporting to the program manager of the R&D and production facilities. Key Responsibilities: Develop the project scope(s) in-depth to schedule deliverables, estimate costs, and create execution plan and baselines. Evaluate potential problems and work with R&D / Production managers to develop solutions Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors and internal customers on scope changes, cost adders, and any variance to the original project scope. Ability to work and succeed in a high degree of uncertainty and complex interactions. Issuance and management of document transmittals and other project related queries Manage project related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored Maintain effective communication with engineering, procurement, construction, quality and commissioning to ensure activity completion and reporting Lead resolution of technical specifications and contract issues with suppliers and end-users Identifies risks in projects and applies techniques to assess and mitigate the risks using the help and support from project sponsors. Participates in project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation planning.
