Description
IBMC is assisting MSGI in hiring a dedicated Project Coordinator to lead their flagship sustainability and community programs. MSGI is a purpose-driven organization committed to ocean conservation and social empowerment. Through our dual initiatives, Ocean Prosperity and Future Prosperity, we aim to restore marine ecosystems while providing transformative experiences for underprivileged youth. The Project Coordinator is the operational heartbeat of our environmental and social programs. You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of marine clean-ups and orphanage-based youth engagement events. Your mission is to bridge the gap between strategic goals and community action, scaling our "more people, less trash" initiative while fostering social empowerment for the next generation. Key Responsibilities Event Management & Logistics: Lead the planning and execution of monthly Ocean Prosperity clean-ups and Future Prosperity orphanage events, including scheduling and safety monitoring (tide/weather conditions). Social Outreach: Act as the primary liaison for orphanages, managing logistics, communications, and tailored educational activities to ensure a supportive environment for youth participants. Stakeholder Relations: Manage relationships with corporate sponsors and community partners, from drafting formal proposals to day-to-day coordination. Community Engagement: Maintain a positive brand image and active communication through the WhatsApp Community and other public-facing channels. Data Administration: Utilize Google Workspace to manage volunteer databases, participation records, and impact metrics to optimize program growth. Impact Analysis: Track KPIs related to volunteer retention, trash collection metrics, and social outreach success to ensure continuous improvement. Education: Academic background in Marine Science, Environmental Science, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or working with social/community organizations (e.g., NGOs or orphanages). Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Drive and Google Forms; experience in WhatsApp Community management. Marine Knowledge: Basic understanding of marine environments and safety protocols for field activities. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups, from corporate sponsors to children. Language: Professional-level English and Indonesian (written and verbal). Mindset: A deep passion for ocean conservation, empathy for community service, and a proactive growth mindset. Purpose-Driven Work: Direct contribution to measurable environmental and social change. Field & Office Hybrid: A dynamic work environment involving both strategic planning and hands-on field action. Network: Opportunity to connect with environmental experts, corporate sponsors, and social activists. Growth: A supportive environment that encourages learning and professional development in the NGO/Sustainability sector.
