Employee Contract Type: Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term) Job Description: Position: Project Coordinator for Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) Project Location: Sangkom Thmei district, Preah Vihear Province Salary: Negotiable Closing Date: 02 November 2025 PURPOSE OF THE POSITION This position is mainly to coordinate project implementation and requires strong relationship and technical skills. In line with WVI ’s core values and mission, the successful candidate will coordinate and represent the project and WVI both internally within the Cambodia office. In addition, this position will oversee and guide WRM project implementation to “enhance community well-being and ecosystem sustainability through effective water security management in Sangkum Thmei”. It contributes toward building a water-secure future by employing best practices from Integrated Water Resources more broadly and Source Water Protection more specifically. This will be accomplished through improving the quality of source water and reducing the risk of contamination, increasing local water availability through safeguarding critical recharge zones, reducing flood risk, and mitigating drought impacts, and healthier water-dependent ecosystems, while aligning with the Global WASH Business Plan and the successful achievement of the project’s goals and objectives. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES To facilitate the project and coordinate with the AP team, Community Development Facilitators, Finance Assistant, WASH Technical Team and key implementing partners from different experiences and locations to ensure the successful implementation of activities in the target district, toward the goal. To conduct reflection and monitor progress to ensure project implementation is fully supported to the goal and in compliance with donor requirements. To establish and maintain good relationships with different government departments and agencies for seeking collaborations and technical assistance. To coordinate closely with internal and external partners, including donors, for successful project implementation. To ensure the project monitoring and reporting quarterly/semi/annually is delivered with high quality and agreed timeframe. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in rural infrastructure, environmental science/hydrology, rural development, natural resources management, agromony or related field. At least 3 years of experience in any relevant roles in WASH, Climate Change, Rural Development, and Community Engagement, preferably in natural water management contexts. Advanced knowledge of hydrology and water resources management, environmental Science, geographic Information systems use, or remote sensing Experience delineating watersheds and conducting hydrological modelling Experience liaising with or training government authorities, basin/aquifer level organizations, or subnational authorities, and other stakeholders Knowledge and skills in assessment of learning outcomes. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, liaison, and networking skills, and brokering partnerships Ability to proactively influence, network, and collaborate with national-level government, NGO, and the private sector Excellent communication skills in Khmer and English (written and verbal).
