Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Infrastructure team!

  • Full time 38 hours week
  • Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year!
  • Weekly pay cycle
  • Salary range $1615.10 - $1938.23

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:

  • Building Trade Qualifications (Carpentry), Building Contractor’s Licence or relevant building construction qualifications (Certificate IV) and/or equivalent qualification and/or equivalent work related experience.
  • Ability to read, understand and implement the requirement of various construction drawings, details and specifications
  • Possess personal drive, a willingness to help others and a successful track record of working within a team environment across a number of disciplines and a genuine desire to see projects delivered to improve the livability of the community
  • Sound communication skills both verbal and written
  • Possess a Construction Induction White (or the ability to acquire prior to commencement).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety responsibilities practices in the workplace.
  • Possession of a current Class C Drivers’ Licence
Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will play an integral part of the Projects Team and will help to ensure that Council is in a strong position to meet the number of major building projects to be delivered as part of Council’s Strategic Plans. The role will assist the Project Manager with the planning and delivery of all projects including Civil and Infrastructure projects as necessary. A key component of the role is to act as the Onsite Supervisor / Superintendent’s Representative for Council’s building projects, actively contributing to the planning and delivery of the projects, ensuring a quality, well-constructed product.
