QUALIFICATIONS

  • A recognized degree/diploma construction or engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Working knowledge of estimating software and a strong aptitude for adapting to new technology.

Responsibilities
  • Job costing, organize and schedule job materials for residential and small commercial jobs
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents to create estimates
  • Project coordination including anticipating, understanding and responding to the needs of management and other clients to meet or exceed their expectations
  • Quantity take-offs, material price lists updating, ordering materials and rental equipment.
  • Support project managers to ensure success of projects
  • Maintain files of working documents to substantiate the estimate
  • Proactively seeking new work
  • Assists with bid document control by documenting, organizing, and archiving all information relating to the estimate for successful transfer to the project team.
