Description
Title: Project Coordinator, Archaeology Location: Fort St. John, BC (Not Eligible for Remote) We are seeking a highly organized, proactive individual to support a dynamic and fast-paced division. The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting project delivery by coordinating resources, schedules, equipment, and administrative activities. This position works closely with Project Managers, subject matter experts, Fleet, Health and Safety, and administrative teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, adaptability, and professional communication with all teammates. Role and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to: Project Coordination (70%) Assist with project kickoff preparation, including planning resourcing and equipment requirements in collaboration with subject matter experts, Fleet, and Health & Safety. Liaise daily with Project Managers regarding changes in scope, priorities, and scheduling. Facilitate project changes by securing appropriate crews and equipment. Coordinate and schedule projects and associated support work, including crew formation, equipment assignment, and schedule delivery. Populate, maintain, and communicate work schedules to internal teams. Coordinate with the Fleet team on vehicle and mobile equipment requirements, maintenance needs, and alignment with operational schedules. Project Administration (20%) Initiate requests for purchasing project-related equipment and supplies. Liaise with administrative services to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies. Coordinate with the Project Controls team to support accurate project time entries. Attend client, division, and project meetings and record meeting notes as required. Shop / Office Support (10%) Coordinate with IT regarding technical equipment needs to support project execution. Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency. Provide general shop and office support as required. Qualifications and skills: Experience in project coordination, scheduling, or administrative support within an operational or field-based environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with scheduling tools, Microsoft Office, and project-related systems. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
