What are you waiting for? Apply today! The Role We are looking to add an experienced Project Coordinator to our team. The ideal candidate will have a technical diploma or engineering degree and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment. You will be working a 14/14 rotation, 12 hours a day on site at Kearl Oil Sands. Charter flights are provided from either Edmonton or Calgary with flight allowances based on the province located. Compensation/Benefits Competitive hourly rate, negotiable, based on experience Weekly Pay Eligible for annual bonus based on company performance 100% employer-paid drugs, travel, life & dependent life insurance, and AD&D Long-term disability $7000 flex credit account per year (can roll into and health care spending account and/or RRSP) Paid vacation Cell phone allowance or company-provided cell phone Company provided IT assets Job Duties/Responsibilities: Reporting to the Project Manager (PM), the Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing ongoing project management support to the project management team by ensuring the effective interpretation and administration of each contract occurs on every project. The ideal candidate will have a technical diploma or engineering degree and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment. Assist PM with defining scope of work portion of contracts, bid evaluation and the subcontractor management review process. Assist PM with progress billing, contract review, and change order preparation as required. Monitor daily progress of job(s) and/or project(s) and ensure that all reporting occurs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as required. Works closely with the PM to provide input into the safe and effective execution of the overall project plan. Works closely with Construction Management to participate in work face planning for materials, logistics, equipment and subcontracts. Consistently conducts business in accordance with OCL's values, policies, guidelines and established best practices. Education/Skills/Qualifications: CET, EIT or P Eng. 5+ years of experience with advanced knowledge and understanding of Project Controls is considered an asset Solid technical computer skills (MS Excel, Google Docs, Bluebeam, CAD) Previous experience in industrial civil, mechanical or piping considered an asset Proficiency in the interpretation of engineered drawings, Isometrics, LDT's and P&ID's Previous oilsands experience considered an asset Valid driver's license Proficiency with commonly used scheduling or estimating software is desirable Must be legally eligible to work in Canada Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Must be willing to complete a criminal background check OCL Group Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
