QUALIFICATIONS

As the Project Coordinator, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a project coordination role within the civil construction industry.
  • A strong knowledge and understanding and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work onsite where necessary.
Responsibilities

As the Project Coordinator you will:

  • Assist the PM with various paperwork, such as subcontracts, reports, HSE stats, LEM’s, time sheets, equipment tracking, meeting minutes, shop drawings, and monthly equipment hours.
  • Track and report production rates on a daily basis, and assisting in resource planning and scheduling for both crew and equipment.
  • Support the creation of subcontract agreements and managing subcontractor requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HSE and QA/QC programs.
  • Procure supplies and materials through tasks like sending out quotes, analyzing quotes, and monitoring delivery dates.
  • Assist the PM with administrative documents, including purchase orders, cost coding, tracking, invoice creation, and change management paperwork.
  • Ensure project folders and documents are organized and well-maintained.
  • Review contract documents, specifications, and drawings to aid in planning and execution.
  • Collaborate on construction schedules, updates, and forecasting using MS Project.
  • Conduct periodic site safety inspections and necessary site visits.
  • Review the schedule of values (cost control) and assisting with updates and forecasting.
  • Organize crew travel requirements, including booking hotel rooms, and scheduling mobilization/demobilization.
  • Be flexible and ready to step into new areas when needed.
