Overview Project Coordinator (Industrial Division) Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. Job Type: Full Time, Seasonal Schedule: 8+ hours per day, 5 & 2 or 6 & 1, OT after 8 hr./day or 44 hr./week Perks: Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching Location: Edmonton and surrounding area (no camp, no LOA) Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions Requirements: Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support Clean Driver’s Abstract, Valid Driver’s License Pre-employment: Drug and alcohol testing (urine-based test) Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Project Coordinator (Industrial Division) Qualifications: Civil Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent Two (2) to five (5) year’s combined experience in project controls and scheduling Proficiency and ability to learn organizations computer systems and software, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, AutoCAD Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the company and project team in a professional manner to the client, related project staff and the community Ability to work in a team environment, as well as, being an independent self- starter with exceptional time management skills Ability to work in physically demanding conditions Excellent problem-solving skills required Must display and promote a continuous regard to safety Project Coordinator (Civil Industrial Division) Responsibilities: Manage contracts Identify and develop change orders Develop daily LEMS Perform hour tracking for costing and billing Develop and review billing summaries Liaise with Owner / General Contractor agent(s) Develop and update schedules Facilitate Site Logistics Monitor site inventories (parts / materials) Order parts / materials Assist with deliveries (inspection, receiving, transferring) Pickup materials / parts Liaise with supervision / mechanical / trucking / lube staff Manage subcontracts / subcontractors Ensure field installations and methods align with drawings / specifications Perform site inspections / close-out inspections Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position Sureway Construction Group is an equal opportunity employer.
