Description

WSG Energy Services is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Site Wide Services team on the LNG Canada site in Kitimat BC.
14/7 Rotation 10 hours per shift, camp accommodation available for those who are not local to Kitimat or Terrace.
Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol screening is mandatory.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each crew member has the tools it needs to meet project milestones
  • Create project schedules that include materials estimates and manpower needs and submit to management
  • Assist in documenting project phases and creating summary reports for company management
  • Work with field personnel to handle project issues as they arise
  • Cultivate relationships between each crew and illustrating how individual team members affect the success of the entire project
  • Prepare work schedules and assign specific duties
  • Monitor third party business and suppliers to ensure that they are efficiently and effectively providing the needed services and supplies while staying withing budgetary limits
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
  • Populate Contractor Daily Reports while working with Project Admin and submit to Project Manager for review
  • Assist project administrators where required in duties including but not limited to, submitting LEM’s in a timely manner to ensure charges are submitted.
  • Utilize reports to monitor project succession.
  • Progressively update and manage the Fiix program for the Operations and Maintenance of site facilities.
  • Attend daily planning meetings with client and O&M foreman
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure that they are efficiently and effectively providing the needed services and supplies while staying within budgetary limits.
  • Delegate work requests issued by the client between the O&M and Roads & Grounds crew all while balancing workload
  • Support Project Manager with weekly reporting to the client
  • Weekly quality control walkdowns of all O&M activities and as required
  • Monitor and update Inventory as required

Qualifications-

  • 3 years’ experience in the construction/industrial business area.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal managerial supervision
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts
  • Strong knowledge of written and digital project management tools
  • Excellent oral, written & listening skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and calculate banking figures such as; discounts, interest rates, percentages and commission etc.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to delegate, set expectations and monitor progress of all direct reports.
  • Motivate, inspire, provide and accept feedback to and from employees.
  • Possess prioritization skills necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve business targets.
