JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, organization and execution of institute projects. This role coordinates schedules, resources and communications to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. The Project Coordinator liaises with internal departments, external partners and stakeholders to facilitate project success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management software.
  • Comfortable with fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.
  • Knowledge of Red River Metis’ history and cultre.
  • Respect for Red River Métis culture and commitment to community engagement.
  • Problem‑solver who can anticipate issues and propose solutions.

Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Coordination
  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify risks and support mitigation strategies.

2.Documentation, Reporting, and Compliance

  • Maintain project files, contracts, and records.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for management, funders, and government agencies.
  • Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards.

3.Communication and Stakeholders Relations

  • Facilities communication among project teams, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Organize meeting, outreach activities, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support relationship-building with partners, suppliers, and community members.

4.Administrative and Logistical Support

  • Provide administrative assistance to project managers and directors.
  • Coordinator procurement, expense, and travel/event logistics.
  • Perform other operational tasks as assigned.
