Are you an experienced Site Manager looking to work on a variety of interesting projects, have sound job security, and work part of a part of team with a fantastic work culture? Due to growth and new clients we have multiple opportunities for this position.

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join Mykra and oversee commercial construction projects from start to finish ranging from $500K to $6M. As a versatile builder, we undertake a wide variety of projects, offering you exposure to diverse opportunities and clients. Reporting to the Construction Operations Manager, you can expect to be well guided and supported through day-to-day activities. Additionally, you will be surrounded by an energetic project team to set you (and the project) up for success.

This role will be responsible for:

The supervision of day-to-day subcontractor activity and Mykra labour for projects.

The coordination of site logistics, material delivery and resource allocation.

Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Adhering to and enforcing site safety procedures and protocols including carrying out inspections, inductions and SWMS reviews, using customised safety applications.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Maintaining quality and cost standards.

Develop good working relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and government authorities.

What you will bring:

Site Manager experience with a preference in commercial construction

A Drivers Licence

A current Builder's Licence or Supervisor's Registration

A passion for building and delivering a quality product

A trade background (highly desirable)

Be well versed in using computer technology and software packages like MS Office Suite (Procore highly desirable)

About the role

This role is central to ensuring the smooth coordination and delivery of cleaning and facilities management services across a key site. You will assist with planning, scheduling, reporting, documentation, and ongoing communication between site teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Maintaining budgets, preparing and submitting annual contract cost increases
  • Advising Executive Managers on matters requiring attention to ensure their decisions are implemented
  • Tracking and achieving contractual and business KPI’s including general strategy, contract retention and site/portfolio profitability
  • Responding to inquiries and resolving problems concerning contracted services provided and implementing required changes to meet customer’s expectations
  • Recruiting, training and developing of the management team to ensure contract compliance and succession
  • Oversee work by contractors and report on variations to work orders.
  • Managing & owning customer relationships
  • Business development and profit optimisation across the contract portfolio

Skills and experience

The skills and qualifications that this position requires include:

  • Management and operations experience this is a necessity
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the titled role or a highly relevant field - we regularly hire from outside of the industry (Construction, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, etc.)

BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product.
