JOB SUMMARY
Project Coordinator involves the coordination of all aspects of an IT-related project, including participating in interdepartmental planning meetings, developing project plans and scopes of work, resource management, and working with a project team to meet the goals and deadlines of the project. Responsible for handling/overseeing more than one project at a time, depending on the scope of work of each project. Performs clerical, general, and administrative office duties of a responsible and confidential nature for the department, including but not limited to typing/word processing, preparing reports, maintaining files, assisting with special projects as assigned, ordering supplies/equipment, maintaining records of purchases/repairs, and providing secretarial assistance as directed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED - Required
2-year Associate Degree in Information Systems related discipline; or Vocational Technical Degree in Information Systems related discipline (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3 years of experience in project management, coordination (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
PROJECT COORDINATION: Provide project coordination for the department.
Plans and controls multiple large-scale projects as the Information Systems Customer Support Representative, including scheduling activities, estimating resource needs, communicating project status, resolving difficulties, and ensuring the quality of systems work performed.
Participates in the purchase and rollout of both hardware and software in support of project implementation.
Provides technical support for projects during testing and go-live.
Implements pre- and post-project go-live technical training to Information Systems support personnel.
Promotes and demonstrates attitude of teamwork, caring, and effective communication and rapport with coworkers, system users, and hospital management.
DOCUMENTATION: Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion.
Clearly and accurately documents designated processes, policies, products, service offerings, etc.
Ensures that documentation is tailored to expected readers/users.
Uses correct terminology.
Conforms to the required style and format.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for the role.
Understands equipment operation.
Maintains equipment in working order.
Troubleshoots equipment problems.
Uses technology to increase productivity.
Adapts to new technology.
