PROJECT COORDINATOR

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking an Project Coordinator for a 12 month contract working Hybrid in Edmonton or Calgary.

PROJECT COORDINATOR DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a responsible Project Coordinator to administer and organize all types of initiatives, from simple work requests to more complex projects. The Project Coordinator will be personable, high energy and take ownership for successful delivery of work assignments. Reporting to the Manager, PMO and Performance Management, Project Coordinator responsibilities include receiving new work requests, coordinating work activities between internal stakeholders and delivery teams, tracking costs and managing project artifacts. In addition, the Project Coordinator will assist the delivery team with various administrative tasks including tracking task progress, maintaining documentation and preparing status reports. To succeed in this role, the Project Coordinator must be comfortable working in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous work environment, be able to work both independently and in a team setting and have excellent time management and communication skills. Ultimately, the Project Coordinator’s duties are to collaborate with team members to ensure that all initiatives are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.

Project Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Manage work request intake.
  • Project administration including project setup in our tracking system, cost tracking, schedule updates, managing project artifacts, and managing milestone approvals.
  • Prepare status reports and stakeholder updates.
  • Coordinate work activities with stakeholders, technical delivery teams and our external vendors.
  • Organize and participate in project meetings including capturing minutes, action items and key decisions.
  • Monitor and follow up on daily project action items.
  • Prepare presentation materials for meetings.
  • Provide administrative support, as required.
  • ct as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
  • Assist with Call Center monitoring activities including call listening, call assessment and identifying opportunities for agent improvements
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Project Coordinator Mandatory Skills

  • Post Secondary Education in Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent
  • Experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Assistant, Junior Project Manager or Junior Business Analyst
  • Experience tracking project activities and coordinating with multiple delivery teams to ensure on time completion of key project deliverable and approvals.
  • Experience with SAP, MS Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet and ServiceNow is a real plus.
  • A background in the utilities sector and/or contact center.
  • Project Management certification
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Basecamp, JIRA, ADO or Trello).
  • Experience analyzing data and looking for trends to improve performance.
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
  • Comfortable working independently in an ambiguous environment with multiple stakeholders and delivery resources.
