COMPANY OVERVIEW:

We are a well-established construction company based in Toronto, Ontario, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the GTA. We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Project Coordinator will work closely with project management staff, and site staff and will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution and management of our construction projects.
The Project Coordinator will assist with preparing project schedules, tracking progress, managing change orders, and maintaining accurate records of contracts, permits, drawings, and reports. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will manage submittals, monitor project milestones, identify potential risks, and escalate issues when needed to support proactive problem solving.
Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree and/or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Valid G Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and project management principles.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with general project management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is not required but is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with contract management and construction law basics.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera and Microsoft Office Suite.)
  • Familiarity with construction safety standards, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with construction submittal process and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours that may extend beyond core hours of work.
  • Ability to travel and visit various work sites

Responsibilities
