The successful candidate will work closely with our regional team of 18 engineers, EITs, and technologists based out of Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, and Saskatoon and supported by our wider, western Canada team of over 200 geotechnical engineering staff. ​​ Your opportunity:​ Stantec is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our geotechnical engineering team in the Winnipeg, MB office. ​​What we offer:​ We operate as a small business within a big company. Your Key Responsibilities: Develop project management documents such as project budgets, project schedules, project setup forms, project execution plans, and project quality plans, with support from the Project Manager (PM). Develop/review project updates, project invoices, project change notices, and estimates to complete as part of Stantec’s Financial Percent Complete (FPC) system, with support from the PM. Lead the subcontractor management process, including subcontractor Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) prequalification, developing/populating subcontractor agreements and subcontractor variances, as required, with support from the PM. Prepare pre-field documentation submittals, including training/certification packages, work procedures, and hazard assessments, as well as supporting the development of project specific safety plans and emergency response plans, with support from the PM. Complete document control, including formatting/compiling documents, and managing document numbers for submittals, with support from the PM. Coordinate logistics for field work, including booking travel and accommodations, and providing site support / check-ins with field staff. Work with our marketing team on project proposals, updating CV’s, and helping to develop promotional literature. Promote a strong health and safety culture and actively participate in Stantec’s HSSE Program. Provide administrative support to the regional team including organizing meetings, organizing team events, and supporting staff with expense reports.
Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator will develop project management documents and support the Project Manager in various tasks. Responsibilities include managing subcontractor processes, coordinating logistics for fieldwork, and providing administrative support to the regional team.
