Your Opportunity
Stantec is currently seeking a Project Coordinator who is a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and who is eager to advance their career in project management. This role involves supporting our Project Managers (PMs) in leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver transportation infrastructure projects through all phases of project delivery: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and close-out. The position also entails supporting the Indigenous Relations team in executing effective and meaningful consultation and engagement activities with various Indigenous communities across BC. Your Key Responsibilities

WORKING WITH KEY CLIENTS:

  • Support the successful delivery of projects on behalf of our clients, as the client Project Coordinator, on various sized projects to meet project objectives and maintain project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Support the PM in facilitating effective project workshops (risk and change management, scope definition, cost estimating, options analysis, technical steering committee requirements, etc.).
  • Implement and adhere to client procedures and protocols while also looking for opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Provide project coordination support to the Indigenous Relations team on varying sized projects throughout BC.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining records of consultation and engagement activities with various Indigenous communities.
  • Identify activities where Indigenous engagement and consultation should occur and support the process to ensure standards are followed and timelines are met.
  • Draft written documents such as consultation letters, contracts, funding agreements, and other types of reports.
  • Organize and attend meetings to represent our client to discuss matters related to regulatory processes, consultation and engagement, and community interests.
  • As required, liaise with key stakeholders on behalf of the client using established stakeholder engagement processes
  • Maintain detailed project documentation tools/records and adhere to project management processes with a strong level of ownership of project tasks and objectives
  • Occasional travel will be required
