Description

SUMMARY

As a Project Coordinator at Strathcona Mechanical Limited, you will play an essential role in supporting mechanical construction projects across Alberta, reporting directly to the Project Manager. You’ll be responsible for coordinating project documentation, scheduling, communication, and safety compliance, while also helping manage smaller jobs and working closely with our PM team. This position is ideal for a driven, detail-oriented individual with a background in mechanical construction and strong communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–8 years of project coordination experience in mechanical or general construction
  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets; knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, or equivalent systems is an asset
  • Understanding of safety documentation and compliance processes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED):

  • Construction Project Coordination: 2 years
  • Blueprint Reading: 1 year
  • Bluebeam/Procore or equivalent software: 1 year
  • Mechanical (Plumbing, HVAC, Piping): 1 year
  • Safety Documentation/Inspection: 1 year
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with office and site-specific safety protocols
  • Safety board setup and maintenance at job sites
  • Ensure Monthly, Weekly, and Daily site safety paperwork is completed and submitted
  • Conduct or support Monthly Site Safety Inspections
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to collect and verify safety documentation
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
  • Support safety reporting and internal communication related to site safety
