A Project Coordinator will: Have superior organizational and communication skills both written and verbal. Drive results through effective communication and project planning. Always consider the customer first while delivering quality and timeliness in closing jobs. Overcome setbacks quickly and work with the Project Manager and internal teams to effectively finish projects on time, on budget, and of superior quality. Develop methods for staying organized while making sure no emails or phone calls are missed. Influence behaviors that allow for positive actions and accountability in their assigned work. Assist the Project Manager with preparing and documenting outcomes from team meetings. Follow up on action items assigned to internal team members. Analyze individual short orders to drive to root cause and communicate the root cause to the appropriate internal teams. Facilitate new job information between Tharp and Boulder Mills teammates. Communicate with Estimators to transfer all applicable pre-con information to BMI team. Assist management to input the job deliverables and hours into the production schedule. Assist management in developing a Schedule of Values. Work with engineering to prepare a shop drawing pre-submittal. Utilize Tharp and Boulder Mills ERP systems to ensure job specifications are current and correct. Assist management in an engineering handoff. Review all finished materials required to execute jobs. Communicate with vendors to gather samples and confirm lead times for job materials. Gather, prepare, and submit a shop drawing pre-submittal with the assistance of engineering. Perform a preliminary takeoff based on the architectural files. Reconcile takeoffs at the time of the shop drawing submittal. Reconcile the takeoff at the time all field dimensions and redlines are available. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive. Education or Formal Training: High school diploma or GED required. 1 year of direct work experience in a project or construction management capacity, preferred but not required. Proven experience working independently and in a team environment. Experience working with construction projects relating to finishing trades a plus. Solid working knowledge of the construction/general contracting sector of business. Engineering/CAD experience a plus. Scrappy- Do more with less, quickly. The Project Coordinator supports the Project Management team by driving project timelines, managing communication between departments, and ensuring quality deliverables. Key tasks include handling shop drawing submittals, performing takeoffs, and utilizing ERP systems to maintain accurate job specifications.
