JOB OVERVIEW

Top Mechanical Ltd. is a medium sized plumbing contractor looking to hire a part time Project Coordinator. Your tasks will be completed remotely (work from home!), with a bit of travel required 1-2 times a month to deliver documents and correspondence. The position is ideal for someone who is just starting out in the construction management industry and looking to acquire experience, or for a retired professional looking for convenient, part time work.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in project coordination or management within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
  • Proficiency in construction management and estimating software; Procore, Planswift, AutoCAD (training available)
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with contract management processes is a plus.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the organization of digital and paper project files
  • Handle all contracts, shop drawing requests, purchase orders, change orders, statutory declarations
  • Act as liaison between suppliers, clients
  • Assist the general office manager and chief estimator with various tasks
  • Assist the Company Director with special tasks
  • Utilize construction management and take off software such as Planswift (training available)
  • Facilitate communication between team members to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Utilize accounting software Quickbooks to track expenses and project profitability (training available)
  • Implement effective time management strategies to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
