About the role The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the embedded Verndale design team, at a major technology client, with managing and conducting team activities to ensure projects run smoothly. He or she must familiarize themselves with the scope and project objectives of the team, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively and successfully help coordinate the activities of the team. The task will run the gamut from project specific to team administrative. The Project Coordinator will have limited client contact, and assist in the management and prioritization of project requests for clients. Verndale’s aggressive growth projections are dependent on a talented, motivated, personable, and innovative staff. If successful and interested, the Project Coordinator may enter directly into the Project Management career track. Responsibilities Assist team with monitoring, recording, and maintaining critical documentation across multiple projects and throughout project life cycles. Project documentation includes: project status reports, meeting agendas, meeting notes, project schedules, and design documentation and process. Track progress of projects, participating in the identification of and follow up on action items, issues, as well as changes to project scope.With guidance and oversight, provide work for assigned projects, including design reviews, testing and project follow up. Assist team as needed with project-related activities, including scheduling and coordinating meetings and presentations, preparing presentation materials as necessary. Facilitate and run team meetings as well as other deliverable planning and handoff meetings. Help plan and organize team events and activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of equivalent work experience, preferably in IT/software Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to gather and analyze information; also, must be able to summarize high level ideas Must be flexible and comfortable with the changing demands of a rapidly growing and fast-moving company Experience working with technology and understands the basics of creating websites and applications. Comfortable with web-based reporting tools and able to learn new ones quickly. Expert at working on Apple computers and iPhones. Experience with Keynote for presentations, a plus.
