Description

We are seeking a Project Cost Analyst for a contract role in Columbus, OH. This role is responsible for coordinating project cost analysis and controls, supporting Project Managers, overseeing cost reporting, and monitoring project budgets.

Title: Project Cost Analyst

  • Location: Onsite in Columbus, OH
  • Duration: 12 month initial contract - high potential for conversion to fulltime

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field with 1+ year of experience, or Associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience in project management, cost tracking/analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet goals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Exposure to accounting, project cost management systems, or construction environments preferred.

    Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Support project teams with budget input, forecasts, variance analysis, and KPI tracking.
  • Partner with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to integrate budgets and schedules.
  • Assist with work order creation, cost tracking, variance monitoring, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare forecasts of project spending, cash flows, and budget variances.
  • Coordinate project meetings, documentation, and planning activities.
  • Perform analysis such as estimate vs. actuals and SOX-related activities.
  • Contribute to baseline budgeting, project breakdown structures, and KPI reporting.
  • Provide strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
